Valencia (29.09.15) .- The company Calvo Izquierdo explained during the “Alzira Get Involved Day 2015” the experience of its Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) in European funding programs.
Through one of the workshops, the export manager, Juan Jose Calvo, detailed the steps for joining the Eurostar program, designed to facilitate the growth of those SMEs with innovative projects.
The project that Calvo Izquierdo has participated in with another Spanish company and a German Insitute of Technology was to develop a modular implant and was titled “Research and Development of an apparatus for spinal repair based on Implantable Textile Innovations”. Its main mission was to develop the textiles for the device. The project started in December 2010 and wrapped up in August 2014.
According to Calvo, “the experience has been very positive, and it shows that they are conducting clinical trials for subsequent marketing.” He also stressed that meetings like the one organized in Alzira, “serve as a meeting point for SMEs that with to achieve internationalization based on R & D”.
